Everyone at Jubilee Primary School and Fernbank Children’s Centre who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. School and Centre staff are particularly important in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as we are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children, to prevent concerns from escalating. Our staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children. We will work with social care, the police, health services and others services to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.

At Jubilee, we aim to support all children to achieve their potential, regardless of their starting points. Effective use of pupil premium is a critical part of this process. The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils.

Jubilee prides itself on including children of all abilities. We make our best efforts to provide an excellent education to children with a variety of additional needs and strive to ensure their academic and social progress. To this end we have a team of skilled support staff, an Inclusion Manager and a whole-school ethos that celebrates the achievements of all.
