In line with the rest of Hackney, the modern foreign language we learn at Jubilee is Spanish.

All children in Key Stage 2 have a weekly Spanish lesson, in which they learn about Spanish language and Hispanic culture through engaging activities, songs and games.

We use a high quality scheme of work provided by the Primary Languages Network which develops children’s speaking, listening, reading and writing skills as well as their cultural awareness.

Each year we celebrate Hispanic Week in the summer term. Last year this culminated in a carnival procession around the school grounds. Children from all year groups were involved and had lots of fun learning about carnival traditions in Hispanic countries around the world!
