10 Sep Minibeast Mosaics
Many of you will have seen our wonderful minibeast mosaics, now fully installed on the wall by the Cazenove Road entrance. Please do pop round to see it if you haven’t already!
This project has been a long time in the making, with initial children’s workshops happening before the first lockdown! The beautiful mosaics were created over the summer term during a combination of parent and carer workshops, small groups of children, and staff too! We worked with a non-profit community arts organisation, Art4space, who were able to train us, provide materials and support us in creating the mosaics and mounting them safely onto the wall. In addition to the support from Art4space, we were also lucky to have an alumni of Jubilee, Georgie Joseph, who worked with children in the workshops and produced the vision and graphic designs for the mosaics, as well as helping to create the mosaics in the final stages during the summer. A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time to the project and who helped make this happen.
We are thrilled with the results and hope you will agree they look stunning!
