Patrice has extensive cross cultural experience in teaching, curriculum design, testing and evaluation. She worked for many years in Indonesia as a manager on an overseas development project with responsibilities for English language teaching, gender awareness, cross-cultural communication and institutional development. She taught Social Development at the Bartlett Development Unit, UCL and organised field work for her students in various London boroughs and in Tanzania. She strongly believes in life-long learning and that every child or adult regardless of sex, ethnic origin, class or disability, with the right support, can achieve their full potential and flourish. She feels very much at home in the diverse community of Hackney where she lives.
